Welcome to HYDRAA

The Government of Telangana established the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) as a unified and dedicated organization for disaster management and protection of public assets such as lakes, parks, open spaces, nalas, playgrounds, and government lands from encroachments.

HYDRAA functions under the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Department and operates within the Core Urban Region (CURE).

The organization derives its powers from various laws and regulations, including:

  • GHMC Act, 1955
  • WALTA Act, 2002
  • GO Ms. No. 168
  • GO Ms. No. 129
  • Other applicable Government Orders and Regulations

HYDRAA comprises the Asset Protection Wing, Disaster Management Wing, and Logistical Support Wing.

HYDRAA's jurisdiction extends across the Core Urban Region Enforcement (CURE) and covers areas within the Outer Ring Road (ORR). The operational divisions span the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC), and Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC).
